Introverts can stand tall even though their actions may not be as big and showy as an extravert’s expressions. But you may need to work on it. Pulling back and shying away may come easily, but will that help you achieve your dreams? Let’s get real about living your best life. Why wait? Because you’ll be comfortable? That’s a terrible excuse! Get out there and get your hands dirty showing off your fabulous self – that you won’t regret!
Did you know that Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, J.K. Rowling, Mark Zuckerberg, Meryl Streep, Elenor Roosevelt and Audrey Hepburn are all introverts? Clearly all high achieving individuals – yet also introverts. Of course those two qualifiers go hand in hand, being an introvert doesn’t mean you can’t be successful.
Five Traits of Successful Introverts
Introverts tend to stay close to ideals and individuals that they feel connected to. Partly out of fear that the next thing won’t be as great, but also because they know what works. Once they see value of the company or friendship they’re in for the long haul.
Curious Listening Skills
As suspected introverts aren’t always big talkers, but they are keen listeners. Being a curious listener is even better, this includes making mental notes of what is being said and bringing back details to thread through the conversation. Unlike extraverts, introverts aren’t just waiting for their turn in the spotlight.
Bird’s Eye View
Introverts are innovative in many ways (you read Bill Gates’ name above!) but one of the best ways they showcase this trait is being able to see the big picture. They don’t let quibbles or minute details derail their sight for the finish line. Coming off small may seem like the norm, but look further, depth is ever present.
Strong Imaginative Life
Introverts spend time alone to recharge themselves. Some choose to play video games, write or be in nature. When you spend a lot of time solo you find ways to entertain and challenge yourself that rely on creative whimsy. This is why many introverts become successful within innovative and world changing endeavors!
One of a Kind
Introverts don’t bend to the social norms that extraverts do. They can keep on keeping on with their unique lifestyle without considering alternatives. Trends are not as much as a factor in the lives of introverts, and some may even say that introverts SET the trends! Take that, extraverts.
