Giddy Galentine Dance Party: Request Line!

I’m hosting a Giddy Galentine Dance Party this Friday. Think dancing and gals…that’s pretty much it! The best shindigs are simple, right? Like any good hostess I’ve been planning the menu, cleaning (well..that will come later in the week) and steadily building the party playlist.

It’s not a giddy gathering without Funkytown by Lipps, Inc or Love Shack by the B 52’s blaring. But I want the songs we groove to to represent all of my giddy gals! I might not include your favorite jam unless you tell me what it is.

Even if you can’t make it to the dance party I’d love to hear your favorite songs that inspire you to get down. What are your favorite songs to dance to?

What if we break it down by genre?

Showtunes/Musical Singalong Musts
How about All That Jazz from Chicago or Grease Lightning from Grease?!

Spunky Pop Candy
Don’t act like you can resist Wannabe by the Spice Girls or pretty much any Michael Jackson song!

Disco/Roller Rink Grooves
Ooooh, now we’re speaking my language! I’m Every Woman by Chaka Khan is pretty much my anthem and I cannot help but do ‘the bump’!

Diva Smash Hits
What is your favorite Beyonce song?! I can always get down to Cher and Madonna as well!

Best Rap/R&B
I have to say I don’t know too many in this category but always can go for Rapper’s Delight by the Sugarhill Gang or Pony by Genuine!

If you request it, I will play it! Comment below, giddy gals!

This is a local event in The Woodlands, so if you’re not already invited I’m not hatin’. I just know that it’s Friday night and you live far away and probably have plans. If you feel like your missed invitation was a huge oversight please forgive me! and e-mail me at for the details. Of course I want you there!
